Rugsacks are made from repurposed traditional 100% pure wool Persian rugs. The main feature being the miniature Verni Rug covering the large front pocket. Verni Rugs were originally made by rural women and nomads of the East Azerbaijan province. The remaining parts of the bags are made fromJajim, a hand woven, thick cloth originally used as a blanket to protect travellers against the harsh weather. These rural communities continue to make Jajim both for themsives and as an income.
The wool is made from the fleece of local sheep, often spun and dyed by hand. Our aim is to support the highly skilled women of the rural communities of Northern Iran.

Our accessories are made in limited quantities and usually shipped directly from UK based stock. Special orders may take 3-4 weeks to arrive. This allows us not to overproduce and allows you to be more selective in your choices. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.
If you are not completely satisfied with your order, please return within 28 days from the date of receipt to our UK base. Items must be in perfect and original saleable condition with tags intact.
